Why Did I Follow The Crowd?

Image
I'm at crossroads, my brain is whirling, which way do I go? which path should I follow?  As I stand contemplating, behold, a mammoth crowd is coming towards me, don't panic! I tell myself. As they come closer, I find out that the individuals all look alike.

On reaching the crossroads, they take the left road, then here comes a person, alone, he diverts to the opposite direction. "Stop! Stop! I shout at him, where're you going all alone?" it's like he's deaf, walking swiftly as if on an emergency without looking back. Hmm I ponder, how long will I remain here? how long shall I sit on the fence? I have to choose a path.  I look this way, the crowd is still in view, I look the other way, the loner is nowhere in sight, so fast? Wow! I think I should follow him. As I take a couple of steps forward in the direction of the loner, suddenly, there's a loud murmuring behind me. I turn around, eh! lots of angry looking faces were on me, what did I do wrong? I…

I wake up (groggy because I slept late, what kept me awake? Fantasizing about an imaginary boy) I dress up and move to my favorite bookseller (the man allowed me to read as much books as I wanted without paying)
I would browse  the bookstand for a good inspirational romance novel, take out one, read the back, I see words like faith, hope, well... this must be good, nothing filthy.
I get a good chair, sit back and devour!
I wouldn't look u…

4 mistakes mothers make that harm their teen daughters

Image
Like mother, like daughter right?  Well...sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Why? I've seen virtuous and godly women who nurtured their girls up to teen age, only to watch them slip off their fingers like sand. What could our mamas be doing  wrong?

1. Allowing their daughters to read anything they like.

In my days of addiction to dirty reading, i would watch in despair as mothers(mostly rich) came into the bookstore with their girls. The girl would select & select up to 50 erotic novels, and the mother would gladly pay for all, without even looking at the book cover, then sigh in relief, having satisfied her daughter.

Mothers please, if you have a book maniac like me for a daughter, who breathes & eats books, you should at least choose the books with her. Check out the cover and the back, before you approve it, be firm with her and reject unwholesome ones. You might say you're too busy for all that stress, but don't be surprised when your sweet innocent daughter starts flirti…
